Don’t Look Now…

Jake Allen and the Blues play the Arizona Coyotes on March 27th in St. Louis.

….but the Blues are coming around the mountain when they come. They are streaking as they head down the final few games toward the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

All lines are clicking. The top 6 forward put up 6 points in the decisive win over Nashville. Tarasenko is on a hot streak. Schwartz has found his scoring touch after a quarter season drought. The third line continues to play well, led by the resurrected Magnus Paajarvi. The team is 7-1-2 in their last 10 games.

And perhaps most importantly, the team is playing loose and confident, led by a never-better Jake Allen. His GAA (goals against average) in his past 10 games is under 1.50. He’s making spectacular saves. Check out his stop in the Colorado game:

They are winning the games they should, taking advantage of a fairly soft schedule. Their win against Nashville, their rival for the 3rd-place spot in the Central Division, was impressive, a key win at a late point in the season.

The season has been an interesting one, to say the least. Lots of ups and downs, from an exhilarating Winter Classic win in January, to Ken Hitchock’s ouster and then Kevin Shattenkirk’s departure. Through it all, the team has persevered, and when the playoffs begin, anything can happen.

Let’s Go Blues. Thanks for Reading.
