Just like those who ventured westward in the 1800s to make a new life for themselves, the Blues head west with an opportunity to make new life for them in the playoff chase.
Yesterday before the NHL Trade Deadline, the Blues, as you probably heard by now, traded center Paul Stastny to the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets are second in the West, playing very well and very deep. Stastny will likely slide in on their 3rd line.
In the Blues’ home opener back in October (which I watched with my wife at a local Buffalo Wild Wings, decked out in team gear), the third line was comprised of Patrik Berglund centering Nail Yakupov and Magnus Paajarvi. Continue reading “The Once and Future Third Line”
